Little Dutch Cuddle Toy - Ranger Jim 35 cm
Meet Ranger Jim, a soft, friendly safari explorer from Little Dutch's Safari Friends range. He's dressed for adventure in an explorer hat, shirt, vest, shorts and little boots, and carries a crocodile friend in his arms. At 35 cm, he's a good size for toddlers to hug, carry and take everywhere.
He's a gentle companion for imaginative play and cosy moments. Ranger Jim has embroidered facial features and a soft polyester body, so he's easy for small hands to hold and squeeze. His crocodile is held in place with Velcro patches, so it can be taken off and put back, which gives children a little extra to explore.
It belongs in an OT-curated shop because it invites the kind of play that supports emotional and social growth, as well as imagination. Ranger Jim can be a comforting friend at bedtime, a fellow explorer on a make-believe safari, or a character in a story your child makes up. He's also machine washable at 30°C, which suits real-life toddler play.

What the OT Says:
As an occupational therapist, I love soft dolls like Ranger Jim because they support so much more than cuddles. For many young children, a soft, friendly character offers comfort and a sense of security, especially during transitions like bedtime or leaving the house. Hugging, squeezing and carrying a doll gives lovely tactile and proprioceptive input through the arms and body, and the soft texture of his fabric invites gentle sensory exploration.
There's a fine motor side to this doll as well. The Velcro patches that hold the crocodile in place ask children to pinch, pull and press, and to use both hands together to attach and remove it. That's bilateral coordination and hand strength in a small, motivating task. Carrying a 35 cm doll around the house also encourages whole-body movement, from holding and lifting to walking while balancing something in their arms.
Dolls like Ranger Jim are wonderful for social-emotional learning. When children feed, comfort or reassure a doll, or take him on an adventure, they practise empathy, caring and taking on different roles. That kind of pretend play also builds language, as children name what they see, tell stories and talk through their feelings, and it strengthens sequencing and early narrative skills. Every child will play in their own way, and for some the doll will simply be a favourite thing to hold, which is completely valid.
I'd happily recommend Ranger Jim for home play and for use in therapy sessions focused on pretend play, language and emotional expression.

I bought this ice cream counter for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She and her 5 year old sister absolutely LOVE playing with this. Their mother's reaction was 'WHAT a hit!' The younger one loves to stack and place, the colourful and sturdy pieces, in out of the slots of the counter and this will develop into proper pretend play as she gets older. I can see both girls playing with their ice cream counter for years to come as it will have a long shelf life due to both the quality of the parts and the play interest for a broad age group of children.

I bought this outdoor easel for my son, and it has been an amazing addition to our garden playtime. The quality is excellent, and it's sturdy enough to withstand active play outdoors. My son loves spending hours drawing, painting, and using his imagination.

I absolutely love this puzzle, and have purched multiple ones as gifts. It is well crafted, and the wood is neatly rounded off. I'll be honest I've never played the game guidlines included, and rather use it as a catalyst in my creative processes. I love the fact that there are no rules to this, and the opportunity to use it as an expressive tool. My tiny human loves it too, and can play endlessly with captivated imagination.
