Counting & Sorting Sets

Everything your child needs to sit down, slow down, and get genuinely absorbed in play all in one set.

What's Included:

  •  Themed mini figures
  • Colour-matched sorting bowls,
  • Tweezers
  •  No setup required. No screen needed. Just pour, sort, and go.

What our OT says:

There is a lot happening in what looks like simple sorting. When a child picks up a tiny figure with a pair of tweezers, places it carefully into the matching bowl, and then counts how many are left, they are simultaneously practising the pincer grip needed for writing, building hand-eye coordination, developing early classification and numeracy skills, and exercising the kind of sustained focus that supports learning readiness.

The tweezers are particularly valuable. They require more precision and hand strength than fingers alone, making each transfer a purposeful fine motor challenge. Paired with the colour bowls, they also introduce the concept of matching and categorising, foundational thinking skills for both maths and language.

The Alphabet Sorting Set extends this further into early literacy, with letter tiles, number cards and maths equation cards that grow with your child from simple sorting right through to early reading and arithmetic.

How to play:

Lay out the colour bowls and let your child sort the figures by colour, type, or size using the tweezers. Then count, compare, and talk about what they find.

Other ways to play:

Use the dice to make counting games, roll and collect that many figures.

Sort by attribute rather than colour: all animals that fly, all animals with four legs. Use tweezers to transfer figures one at a time for an added challenge.

Hide figures in a sensory tray and use tweezers to find and sort them. Use the Alphabet Set to build simple words or match uppercase and lowercase letters.

Suitable for: 3 years and older. Contains small parts -  not suitable for children under 3. Adult supervision recommended.
