Pretend play is a fantastic way for children to learn and develop essential skills while having fun. Here are our take on pretend play and the importance thereof.
- Cognitive Development: Pretend play allows children to engage in imaginative scenarios, acting out stories and manipulating ideas and emotions. This type of play enhances language usage, including subjunctives, future tenses, and adjectives. Additionally, it fosters the concept of “theory of mind,” which is an awareness that our thoughts may differ from those of others and that multiple perspectives exist.

I bought this for my 8-month-old. The stepping stones are marketed toward children aged one year and up, but I grabbed them because they always seem out of stock—get it if you see it's available! It's a great addition to our toy set, and it offers endless opportunities for open-ended play. It's super sturdy for mum and dad to sit and stand on, too.
Our little one is 10 months old and this activity walker is the perfect toy for aiding in balance, confidence and heaps of fun. Such a nice puzzle for my 2.5 year old. The wooden pieces are hard enough for her not to break/ tear them and she loves all the colours and pictures on them.
