Stepping Stones
Some toys get used once and forgotten. These are not those toys.
Rainbow stepping stones are one of those rare finds that earn their place in a home, classroom, or therapy room and stay there. Simple in design, endlessly versatile in use, and strong enough to hold the whole family. These stones grow with your child from toddler wobbles to full obstacle courses and everything in between.
Choose your design, then build your play experience from there. Each variant below is designed to work together, so you can start simple and expand as your child grows.

Lid's
Turn your stepping stones into a brand-new hand–eye coordination challenge! Simply place a wooden lid on top, add one of the balls, and swirl it carefully until it drops into the hole. With three different lid sizes in each pack, the game grows in difficulty as children practice control and precision.
Play solo to build focus, or make it a race to see who can get their ball in first. A fun way to combine movement, balance, and fine motor skills with a little friendly competition.

What our OT says:
Stepping stones are one of the first tools I reach for in therapy and one of the first things I recommend parents bring into their home play space. When a child navigates an uneven or unpredictable surface, their brain is working hard. The body constantly adjusts, building proprioceptive awareness (knowing where your body is in space) and vestibular processing (balance and movement). Both are foundational to a child's ability to sit still, focus, and learn.
What I love most is that children don't need to be taught how to use these. They figure it out on their own and that self-directed problem-solving is where real development happens. The option of building varying heights add just enough challenge to keep older children engaged, while younger ones build confidence with every successful step.
The add-on options extend the developmental value considerably. The balance board adds core and postural control work. The lid and ball sets layer in hand-eye coordination and fine motor precision, sitting on a stone while trying to swirl a ball into a hole is a whole-body coordination challenge that children find genuinely motivating. And the wooden bridges invite creative and imaginative play, which is where language, social skills, and executive function quietly develop in the background.
Suitable from age 1. Genuinely useful well into primary school years.
The obvious use is a balance trail — but these go much further than that.
Other ways to play:
Stack the stones into towers for building and knocking down. Use them as seats, stages, or platforms in imaginative play. Add the wooden bridges to turn them into a play kitchen, market stall, or snack table. Lay them out as an obstacle course and add a timer for older children. Take them into the garden or paddling pool for water play. Use the lid and ball sets on top of the stones for a moving balance and coordination challenge. Play colour-calling games in a group, call out a colour and see who can hop to it first. On rainy days, they become stepping stones across a very dangerous lava floor.
These stones are built for real play, including muddy gardens and sticky hands.
Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap after use. Rinse well and allow to air dry before stacking for storage. The stones are safe for outdoor and water play, but avoid prolonged submersion. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing pads, as these may affect the surface texture over time.
For the wooden bridges and wooden lids: wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth only. Do not submerge in water or leave outdoors in wet conditions. Allow to dry fully before storing.
Suitable for regular surface cleaning in therapy rooms and classrooms.
