Large rainbow-toned building sets like this one are among my favourite open-ended tools, because the sheer variety of piece sizes and colours gives children so many different ways to engage with the same set. Sorting pieces by colour, height, or width builds visual discrimination and early categorisation skills, while deciding how to balance a tall, narrow roll on top of a short, wide one calls on real problem-solving and spatial reasoning, a child has to consider stability, size, and shape all at once.
Picking up, positioning, and carefully stacking each piece also offers rich fine motor and hand-eye coordination practice. Because the pieces vary so much in size, a child's grip has to constantly adjust, wrapping fully around a wide tube one moment, using a more precise grasp for a slender roll the next, which is genuinely valuable variability for developing hand strength and control.

I bought this ice cream counter for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She and her 5 year old sister absolutely LOVE playing with this. Their mother's reaction was 'WHAT a hit!' I bought this outdoor easel for my son, and it has been an amazing addition to our garden playtime. The quality is excellent, and it's sturdy enough to withstand active play outdoors. My son loves spending hours drawing, painting, and using his imagination.

I absolutely love this puzzle, and have purched multiple ones as gifts. It is well crafted, and the wood is neatly rounded off. I'll be honest I've never played the game guidlines included, and rather use it as a catalyst in my creative processes. I love the fact that there are no rules to this, and the opportunity to use it as an expressive tool. My tiny human loves it too, and can play endlessly with captivated imagination.

What a great fine motor beading set. They give nice resistance when children push them together and pull them apart, which helps strengthen the fingers and improve hand control.
