I love how versatile these stones are, they’re not just toys, they’re tools for learning through play. Every activity with them can be adjusted to meet a child where they are developmentally, which makes them such a valuable resource in therapy and at home.
When children sort by colour or size, they’re practicing visual discrimination, sequencing, and early math skills. Those same tasks also require focus and planning, which are important building blocks for attention in the classroom.
Stacking and building structures challenge balance, problem-solving, and persistence. I’ve seen kids light up when their “tower” finally stays upright, it’s a powerful way to build confidence.
Using the stones in creative activities like animal designs or storytelling gives children a chance to express imagination and emotions. Play becomes a safe space to experiment and share ideas.
From a motor perspective, pinching, placing, and balancing stones strengthens the small muscles of the hands and supports hand-eye coordination. These are the very skills that prepare children for writing, dressing, and using tools.

We are using this in therapy and I think the size and challenge is perfect for many of the kids we work with. One suggestion would be to add an extra one of each colour to make it more challenging - so if they get to the last one, it’s a bigger challenge to choose the correct colour when copying a pattern. Also in case any get lost. But overall, good quality and a lovely game

I’ve found it to be quite a challenge for many children, which makes it a great tool for developing spatial awareness and understanding positional concepts. With toddlers, I start by giving simple instructions, like “put the farmer in front of the barn” or “place the chicken behind the farmer.” With older children, the graded copy cards add an extra layer of difficulty as they copy the scenes independently.
It’s a versatile game that targets language, comprehension, visual-spatial skills, and fine motor control all at once. Plus, the durability of the wooden pieces means it will last through many therapy sessions. A definite favourite in my practice!
We love using the wooden threading board in therapy! For little ones, it’s great for building fine motor strength as they push the pegs into the board. For older kids, the copy cards turn it into a fun challenge for concentration, planning, and visual skills.

My 18 month old, and my 3 year old both love playing with these piggy banks. They frequently ask for them. Sometimes we just feed the piggies the coins, but my older boy sorts the coins into the correct coloured pigs. He has also raced against a sand timer to fill them, and uses them in imaginative play. The boys can play with them at the same time, or alone (with supervision 😉). Such a versatile game. Well worth ordering!
