One of my favourite fine motor tools. This scoop offers several benefits, especially for children’s motor skills and sensory experiences.
- Fine Motor Skills Enhancement: By manipulating sensory materials using scoops, children refine and build motor skills. These include: Pincer Grasp: Using the thumb and index finger to pick up small objects. Precise Wrist Movements: Coordinating wrist movements for controlled actions. Arch Development: Strengthening the arches of the hand. Wrist Extension: Extending the wrist to manipulate tools effectively. Separation of Wrist from Elbow: Developing distal motor control. These skills are crucial for tasks like scissor cutting and writing.

I got this together with the silicone beach set for my niece's 1st birthday. Although we are still in the heart of winter, these are great for bath time. At this age they love spending time in the bath and what's more fun than a watering can. Scooping and pouring, Feeling the water spray is a great sensory experience and I absolutely love the colours.
