Dot Sticker Sheet
Dot Sticker Sheet
Peel. Place. Repeat.
It sounds almost too simple - but ask any OT or early childhood teacher and they will tell you that dot stickers are one of the most effective fine motor tools available, and one of the most satisfying for young children to use.
What's included:
- 2 picture sheets and 2 sheets of dot stickers. Various themed designs.
Children peel the stickers and place them onto the matching circles on the picture filling in a scene one careful dot at a time. Various designs available.
What our OT says:
Peeling a sticker requires the pincer grip - thumb and index finger working together with precision, which is the same grip children need for holding a pencil. The smaller the sticker, the greater the challenge, and dot stickers sit in a sweet spot: manageable enough to build confidence, small enough to require real control.
Beyond the physical skill, sticker activities develop visual attention and spatial awareness as children decide where each dot belongs. They also build the kind of focused, purposeful sitting that underpins school readiness and because the result is a completed picture, children feel a genuine sense of accomplishment when they are done.
At R28.95, this is one of the best value fine motor activities in the shop. It packs flat, travels easily, and keeps children genuinely absorbed. A staple for busy bags, restaurant outings, and long car trips.
How to play:
Peel the dot stickers one at a time and place them onto the matching circles on the picture sheet. Work from the top of the page downward to avoid smudging placed stickers.
Other ways to play:
Use stickers to fill in free-drawn shapes or letters for a creative pre-writing activity. Sort stickers by colour before placing them for an added classification challenge. Use on plain paper to make patterns, pictures, or counting activities. Great as a quiet activity during travel, church, or restaurants, it fits easily into any bag and makes no noise.
Suitable for: 2 years and older. Best supervised with younger children.
