What our OT says:

This wooden 100. board are one of my favourite maths support tools and can be used from as young as 3 years. Here is why we love this product.

  • Fine Motor Skills: Using the wooden tweezer to pick up and place the balls into the holes requires precise hand movements. This activity helps strengthen fine motor skills, which are essential for tasks like writing, drawing, and manipulating objects.
  • Visual Discrimination: Children learn to differentiate between the numbered holes and accurately place the balls. This process enhances visual discrimination skills, allowing them to recognise patterns and sequences.

  • Number Sequencing: The Hundred Board encourages children to arrange the balls in numerical order from 1 to 100. This reinforces their understanding of number sequences and helps them internalize the concept of counting.

  • Counting and Quantity: As children place each ball, they associate it with a specific number. This hands-on experience helps them grasp the relationship between numbers and quantities.

  • Engagement and Focus: The tactile nature of the wooden balls and the visual appeal of the Hundred Board make math engaging. Children stay focused while exploring numbers and patterns.
